Patient FAQ
Questions international patients should ask before traveling for care.
This guide explains how CareBridge China coordinates planned medical visits, what is included, what is not included, and how we keep medical care, concierge support, and China experiences clearly separated.
Service Basics
Is CareBridge a hospital?
No. CareBridge China is a non-clinical medical concierge and care coordination service. Diagnosis, treatment decisions, medical fees, and clinical outcomes are handled by licensed healthcare professionals and medical institutions.
What cities do you support first?
We are starting with Shanghai and Nanjing because our early hospital, doctor, vehicle, interpreter, and coordinator resources are strongest there.
What services are suitable first?
Health checkups, dental care, cataract coordination, rehab and pain recovery, second opinions, and selected joint replacement cases after suitability review.
Can you support emergency care?
No. We are focused on scheduled, planned care. Emergency care, emergency transfer, ICU cases, unstable conditions, and urgent life-threatening situations are outside our service scope.
Costs And Quotes
Do you guarantee that China will be cheaper?
No. We help patients compare planned care options and understand service scope, but final hospital, hotel, flight, medication, implant, lens, lab, and third-party costs are determined by outside providers.
What does the CareBridge fee cover?
Depending on the package, it can cover care planning, appointment coordination, interpreter scheduling, private transport coordination, hospital navigation, itinerary management, recovery scheduling, and follow-up organization.
Why is daily concierge charged separately?
A 10-day stay can require many hours of coordinator, interpreter, driver, schedule, and standby work. Daily support must be priced separately so the service does not lose money on longer stays.
When do I get a custom quote?
After we understand your service interest, city, travel dates, language needs, companion needs, expected length of stay, and whether medical record review is required.
Medical Records And Suitability
Do I need to send medical records?
For checkups or simple dental visits, basic background may be enough. For cataract, rehab, joint replacement, surgery, or complex cases, relevant records help determine whether travel and coordination are appropriate.
Who decides whether treatment is suitable?
Licensed clinicians and medical institutions decide medical suitability. CareBridge can help organize information and coordination, but we do not approve treatment or replace a doctor.
Can my family travel with me?
Yes. We can coordinate hotel, transport, interpreter, and appropriate companion activities. Extra rooms, meals, tickets, companion travel, and extra vehicle time are quoted separately.
Can I combine care with tourism?
Yes, when medically appropriate. China experiences must be planned around appointments, recovery limits, energy level, and doctor instructions. Medical safety comes first.
